The Messerchmitt Bf 109 served from the first to the last day of WWII. This kit depicts the E-3 variant which was used by the Luftwaffe during the invasions of Belgium, the Netherlands, France, as well as the Battle of Britain in the early stages of the war. The slim, angular form of the aircraft is accurately reproduced and the canopy may be assembled in either open or closed position. One pilot figure and three marking options are also included.

The build for this kit is so simple that the instructions are with the paint guide on the back of the box. The parts are nicely detailed and no flash or pin marks to spoil the finish. The decal markings are pretty extensive and really add to the detail. Best displayed next to something of the same scale to show how big these thing really are, you can understand why people were terrified of them during the war.
