PTT eBay Sync is a private application operated by ProTinkerToys for its own Shopify store and eBay seller account. This notice describes the app’s handling of information used to operate that connection.
Information the app uses
The app reads product listings, SKUs, images, prices, inventory, account permissions, seller policies, and listing identifiers from Shopify and eBay. For order accounting and fulfillment, it can process order lines, payments and totals, customer or buyer identifiers, contact details, delivery addresses, and shipment tracking when provided by the platforms.
Connection credentials, authorization tokens, administrative session information, owner decisions, and operational records support authenticated access, auditing, error recovery, and privacy request handling.
Why information is used and shared
Information is used to align eligible eBay listings with Shopify, review exceptions, account for paid eBay orders in Shopify, and exchange verified fulfillment and tracking information. Necessary information is transferred between the connected Shopify store and eBay account for those tasks. Connecting an account does not itself enable automatic commerce actions.
The app uses its hosting and backup systems to run the service and recover from failures. Configured operator notification services, including Email Hub and Telegram, receive service status and app references; notifications are designed to exclude customer and order details. Shopify and eBay maintain their own records and apply their own privacy policies.
Storage and protection
Credentials, administrative sessions, and sensitive order payloads are encrypted in application storage. Scheduled backups are encrypted. Access to the application’s runtime, configuration, and backups is restricted to operational accounts. Operational identifiers and review history are retained to support mapping, accounting, and recovery.
Retention, access, and deletion requests
Information is retained to support the service’s operational and privacy processes. This notice does not promise deletion of all records after a fixed period. Some records require operator review or action, and older encrypted backup copies remain subject to the backup lifecycle.
The app validates privacy notifications from Shopify and eBay before processing them. Verified deletion requests remove matching retained local information and create encrypted deletion markers to help prevent older data from being reintroduced. Where identity or scope cannot be safely reconciled, the app can pause processing and require owner review.
Data access requests are recorded for an owner response; recording a request is not completion of that response. Backup restoration requires application of current deletion markers and remains subject to reconciliation before use. Local deletion handling does not delete records independently held by Shopify or eBay, and external-provider or backup obligations can require additional operator action.
